Part-time, contract position UJA Federation of Greater Toronto and a coalition of leading Jewish social service agencies in the GTA are working collaboratively to address poverty in the Jewish community. The focus is on poverty within two specific groups: (1) Jewish Seniors and Holocaust Survivors, and (2) children, youth and their families. The approach is the Collective Impact Framework. A Steering Committee comprised of lay and professional leaders from Jewish Family & Child, JIAS Toronto, JVS Toronto, Kehilla Residential Programme, and the Bernard Betel Centre for Creative Living is responsible for developing the strategy and leading this work.  The Director, Capacity Building for the Social Services and the VP, Strategic Planning at UJA Federation are looking for a Project Coordinator to assist in   providing the backbone support. The responsibilities of the Project Coordinator will include: •    Project management: develop work plans, track and monitor the activities of the Steering Committee and the working groups including tracking timelines and budget. •    Communication: ensure the flow of information across the collaboration, by developing and maintaining a communications and information sharing system. •    Evaluation support: work collaboratively with the evaluation team. •    Writing:  assignments will include research, funding proposals and grant writing. •    Logistics: organize and attend meetings of Steering Committee and work groups, including preparation and circulation of agenda, minutes, and communications. Qualifications and Competencies: •    A degree in  social work, public policy, administration or related field •    2-3 years of administrative experience •    Experience with creating systems and general project management •    Excellent verbal and written communications skills •    Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills •    Ability to work in a team environment  with multiple stakeholders •    Organized, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines •    Knowledge of current issues of the Jewish community •    ASSETS:  Experience or familiarity with Collective Impact approach This is the part-time contract position.
